The caves at La Perriere, naturally carved 200 million years ago, are a magical spot where traces of the troglodites still live on to strike a chord with generations of visitors who find peace and mystery. It is also the ideal location to age the wines from 43 hectares of the state’s Sancerre. These soils are perhaps where Sauvignon Blanc can best express the symphony of its mineral and grassy aromas and the flinty soils create intense wines with impressive ageing potential.
Tasting Note: A dry white wine with flowery fruit flavors on the palate, good length and mineral notes.
Enjoy: Ideally pairs with seafood or as an aperitif.
